Le Notti Di Cabiria (Cabiria's nights) is one of Fellini's finest and perhaps the most humanistic film. His wife, Giulietta Masina plays Cabiria Ceccarelli, a feisty, naive character who makes her living as a prostitute in a seedy sections of Rome. Mistreated and taken advantage of by almost everybody she encounters, when she meets a man that promises a respectable future, she falls head over heels. What follows is a series of similarly humiliating episodes, in which the defiantly positive prostitute Cabiria is hurt, but never broken.
