:42:00
Chains around them, you know.
:42:03
And I see there's
an Econoline van down there.
:42:06
And there's a guy
with his T-shirt off,
:42:09
and he's packing
his Econoline van...
:42:13
with all of these tires.
:42:16
He's got the last two tires
in his hands,
:42:21
pushes them into the thing,
:42:23
and then I, of course,
I go, " Hey, you!"
:42:27
This guy turns around,
he's got no shirt on,
:42:31
he's sweating, he's built
like a brick shithouse,
:42:35
pulls out a knife,
it's 1 2 inches long,
:42:38
and then starts running at me
as fast as he can, going,
:42:47
I'm still--
:42:51
"This is wrong."
I walked in,
:42:56
stuck my hand behind the cash register
where the owner kept a.41 revolver,
:43:02
pull it out,
cocked the trigger,
:43:05
and just as I turned around,
he was comin' through the door.
:43:09
And I could see his eyes.
I'll never forget this guy's eyes.
:43:14
And he just had bad thoughts
about me in his eyes.
:43:19
And I fired a round, and it hit him.
Boom. Right in the chest.
:43:23
Bang. He went-- as fast as
he was coming in the door,
he went out the door.
:43:28
Went right up between the two pumps,
ethyl and regular.
:43:32
And he must've been on drugs,
on speed or something, you know,
:43:37
because he stood up...
:43:39
and he still had the knife, and
the blood was just all over his chest,
:43:44
and he stood up and he went like that,
just moved a little like that.
:43:48
And I was pretty much in shock,
:43:51
so I just held the trigger back
and fanned the hammer.
:43:54
It's one of those old-time--
Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom!
:43:58
And I blew him
out of the gas station.
