Losing Isaiah

Losing Isaiah is a 1995 drama film starring Jessica Lange as a white woman who has adopted an African-American child ("Isaiah") who was disposed into the trash and left by his drug-addicted black mother (played by Halle Berry). The white woman and her husband has raised the child with much love, however, after 3 years, the drug-addicted mother discovers the baby is still alive and wants him back. Her lawyer (played by Samuel L. Jackson) argues that "black children belong with black mothers".
