The Wooden Camera
:00:34 My brother, Madiba,
was always a loner.
:00:37 His job was to sell tripe
in the market
:00:39 every day, after school.
:00:41 When he was not
selling tripe,
:00:43 he would lie
on his back in solitude
:00:46 and stare at the clouds
for hours and hours.
:00:49 Sometimes he would
just lie there
:00:51 and watch the way the wind
blew a piece of paper.
:00:55 One day as he was roaming around looking
for things to stare at
:00:58 he saw this boat
on the riverbank.
:01:00 There was a boy in it,
very sick and weak from hunger.
:01:04 His name was Sipho,
and he had no parents.
:01:07 Madiba gave him food to eat
:01:09 and a blanket
that kept him warm.
:01:12 Since that day,
:01:13 Madiba and Sipho became
very, very close friends.
:01:48 Shit!
:01:50 Is he dead?
:01:51 Hey, man, he's saying
hello to God.
:01:57 Gimme that.
