Stella Street
:00:14 Stars Over Stella Street.
On August the 11, 1963...
:00:19 ...something extraordinary happened...
:00:22 ...to this leafy suburban street
in South West London.
:00:25 Something that the residents
of Stella Street will always remember.
:00:28 L was going into the kitchen to put
on the kettle, to make tea...
:00:33 ...when the doorbell goes, and there's
a man in a suit just standing there.
:00:37 L was 11, and I was boiling
this rabbit that was still alive.
:00:41 And all of a sudden,
this huge car turned up...
:00:44 ...and these four very strange-looking
gadgees got out.
:00:48 They said this house here and this street
would be great for the Fab Four.
:00:53 And I said, "Fab for what?"
:00:57 Should have got ourselves
A better place up West, oh, yeah
:01:01 Instead of hanging 'round
A smelly dump like this
:01:05 The landlady's getting old
:01:07 And I spy, with my little eye,
something beginning with R.
:01:11 Yeah, run!
:01:15 Eh, you know, Eileen,
after all them posh hotels...
:01:17 ...staying with you is like staying
with me favourite auntie.
:01:21 You boys want a square meal after
running from all the girls at the station.
:01:26 Some of them want more
than your autograph.
:01:29 - Let's do something, shall we?
- Okay.
:01:31 One, two, three, four.
:01:32 I should have put some butter
On me toast today
:01:37 But the cornflakes
Have floated away
:01:41 It's always been little bit of a favourite
spot for the celebrities for some reason.
:01:46 I used to see Richard Burton
get out of his huge Daimler...
:01:49 ...because he was
a very rich superstar.
:01:53 Wait here all night.
:01:55 Why he had to live in digs here,
I'll never know.
:01:58 Hello, Richard.
On your own again?
