The 24th Day
:03:09 I walk home...
:03:11 I'm all scratched up, I've got
blood all over my face...
:03:15 I'm crying my eyes out.
:03:17 My mother sees me and she runs up
screaming, "Who did this to you?"
:03:22 I tell her, "Stevie Bellon jumped me
from behind in the school yard...
:03:24 while his pals stood there and
made sure no one broke it up."
:03:28 So take a guess what
my Mom does?
:03:31 She takes me back
to the school yard...
:03:33 she finds Stevie and tells him
that I'm gonna fight him again...
:03:35 only this time it's gonna be
affairfight.
:03:37 Your Mom booked
yourfight.
:03:39 Well, me and Stevie, we stood
there looking at her...
:03:41 like she was waiting for us
to make up or something.
:03:45 Then she pulls me aside
and looks at me...
:03:49 and tells me
to rip his heart out.
:03:51 She said, "Rip his heart out"
to an eight-year-old?
:03:55 -And?
-And I got him pretty good.
:03:58 Your mother just stood there
and watched?
:04:00 Once things were evened up,
she pulled me off of him.
:04:05 Good for your Mom.
I salute her.
:04:08 If more parents took those steps
during child developmental years...
:04:12 we wouldn't have a country
filled of emotional cripples...
:04:15 those touchy feely, angst-ing head
cases afraid of their own shadows.
:04:20 Exactly.
:04:21 I say "Buck up, baby.
It's cold outside."
:04:29 I think it's time
for a cab home.
:04:41 "Annie Hall".
:04:45 Denzel Washington?
:04:48 Who could it be?
:04:50 Julia Roberts?
