12 Angry Men
12 Angry Men is a black-and-white film produced in 1957, and tells the story of twelve jurors bound by the acceptance of their civic duty and thrust together into a hot, humid room to deliberate the guilt or innocence of a boy accused of killing his father in a moment of rage. Initially, only one juror is not certain beyond a reasonable doubt that the young man is guilty, and must convince his peers to evaluate the matter beyond their initial, largely emotion-based judgements in order to determine guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. With the exception of a few moments at the beginning and the end and some conversations in the adjoining washroom, the entire movie takes place in the jury room.

12 Angry Men
:01:08 You did a wonderful job. Wonderful.
:01:13 You did it. You did it!
:01:18 To continue, you´ve listened to a long and
complex case, murder in the first degree.
:01:23 Premeditated murder is the most serious
charge tried in our criminal courts.
:01:28 You´ve listened to the testimony, had the
law interpreted as it applies in this case.
:01:33 lt´s now your duty to sit down and try
and separate the facts from the fancy.
:01:37 One man is dead.
Another man´s life is at stake.
:01:41 lf there´s a reasonable doubt in your
minds as to the guilt of the accused -
:01:45 a reasonable doubt - then you must
bring me a verdict of not guilty.
:01:50 lf there´s no reasonable doubt,
then you must, in good conscience,
:01:54 find the accused guilty.
:01:57 However you decide,
your verdict must be unanimous.
:02:01 ln the event that
you find the accused guilty,
:02:04 the bench will not entertain
a recommendation for mercy.
:02:07 The death sentence is mandatory
in this case.
:02:11 You are faced with a grave responsibility.
Thank you, gentlemen.
:02:16 The alternate jurors are excused.
:02:24 The jury will now retire.
