Guys and Dolls Guys and Dolls is a successful 1950 musical. On Broadway, it enjoyed a long initial run (1200 performances), as well as three revivals (totalling another 1397 performances). It was filmed in 1955 starring Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra and Jean Simmons (debuted on November 3, 1955). The words and music were written by Frank Loesser and the book was by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. Disney has recently bought the rights to Guys and Dolls and are planning a remake of it starring Hugh Jackman as well as Pippin.
